What does an SEO agency do?

An SEO agency helps a website earn more visibility in search results. The work usually includes auditing the site, researching how customers search, fixing technical issues, improving content, building authority through relevant links and reporting on results.

How much does SEO cost?

It depends on the size of your site, how competitive your market is and what your goals require. As a general market range, many US small and mid-sized businesses see monthly retainers quoted at roughly $1,000 to $5,000, with larger programs costing more. That is not a quote: we scope each engagement individually and send a written proposal before any work begins.

How long does SEO take?

Most businesses need several months to see meaningful movement. Timing depends on where your site starts, how competitive your market is and how consistently the work is carried out.

Do you guarantee rankings?

No. Nobody can honestly guarantee a ranking because search engines control their own results. We commit to defined work, clear priorities and transparent reporting.

What should businesses look for in an SEO agency?

Look for clear scope, transparent reporting, a straight answer on ranking guarantees and a link building approach built on relevance, not volume. Ask to see exactly what you will receive each month.

What is the difference between SEO and PPC?

SEO earns unpaid visibility that builds over time. PPC buys ads that appear immediately and stop when the budget does. The right mix depends on your margins, competition and timeline.

What is a backlink and why does it matter?

A backlink is a link from another website to yours. Links from relevant, credible sites are one of the signals search engines use to judge trust, which is why quality and relevance matter more than quantity.

What are answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO)?

AEO and GEO are about making your content easy for answer engines and AI assistants to find, understand and cite. In practice that means clear direct answers, accurate structured data, named authors and sources, and a well-defined business identity.

What budget ranges do you work with?

Our contact form offers monthly budget bands from under $1,000 up to $10,000 or more. Tell us where you are and we will recommend what that budget can realistically cover, or say so if it cannot.

What determines the price?

The size and condition of your website, how competitive your market is, how much content and authority building your goals require, and your timeline and reporting needs.

Is the audit really free?

Yes. The free search visibility audit gives you a written summary of priorities with no obligation to hire us afterward.

Do you require a long-term contract?

Scope, term and cancellation terms are set out in your written proposal and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. We will walk you through them before you approve anything.

When do I pay?

Work begins after you approve the written scope and payment is arranged. Accepted payment methods are confirmed in your proposal.

What will I see in the monthly report?

A plain-language summary of the work completed, how search visibility and traffic changed, what we think caused the change, any open issues and the plan for the next month.

Do you need access to my website?

We need read access to Google Search Console and analytics for the review. Changes to the site itself are made by us or by your developer, depending on what you prefer and what the scope covers.

How does authority building work?

Authority building earns links and mentions from relevant, credible websites that point to yours. Over time, those signals help search engines understand that your business is a trusted source on its subject.

How do backlinks affect search visibility?

Backlinks are one of several factors search engines use to evaluate a page. Links from relevant, trusted sites generally help, while large volumes of low-quality links can do harm. Quality and relevance matter far more than quantity.

Do you sell bulk link packages?

No. We do not sell links by volume. Placements are selected for relevance, reviewed by a person and reported with their live URLs.

Are the links paid?

Some placements involve costs such as publisher fees. Where a link is paid or sponsored, we follow search engine guidelines and the publisher's disclosure rules. Our Editorial & Link Quality Policy explains how this works.

Can you guarantee a specific number of links or a ranking?

We commit to the work described in your written scope. We do not guarantee rankings, and we only promise placement counts that are stated in your proposal.

What makes a backlink good?

Relevance to your topic, a credible and genuinely read website, editorial context around the link and a natural fit with the rest of your link profile. A page that exists only to sell links is not a good source.

What makes content good for SEO?

Content performs well in search when it matches what the searcher wants, answers it clearly and completely, and comes from a source that demonstrates real knowledge of the subject.

How many articles do I need?

There is no magic number. Quality and relevance matter more than volume. We plan the smallest set of pages that can cover the topics your buyers search for, then expand as results justify it.

Who writes the content?

Content is written and edited for your business with your input on facts and positioning. We do not publish anything you have not approved.

How does content help my service pages rank?

Helpful articles earn visibility for informational searches and link to your service pages, passing readers and relevance to the pages that sell.

Do you update old content?

Yes. Refreshing pages that already have some visibility is often a faster win than starting from scratch, and keeps information current.

What is on-page SEO?

On-page SEO covers everything you control on the page itself: titles, headings, content, internal links, images and structured data. It helps search engines understand a page and helps visitors decide whether it answers their question.

Does site speed affect SEO?

Page experience, including speed, is one signal among many. Slow pages also lose visitors, so speed matters for conversions even where it does not move rankings much.

What is structured data?

Structured data (schema markup) is code that labels the content of a page, such as your organization, services or FAQs, so search engines can interpret it accurately. It does not guarantee rich results.

Can you help with a website redesign or migration?

Yes. We review the plan before launch, map redirects and check indexing afterwards so existing visibility is protected.

Do you build websites?

Our focus is making sites perform in search and convert. We work with your developer or platform, and can specify exactly what needs to change.

How is SaaS SEO different from other SEO?

Buying cycles are longer and more research-driven, so content has to cover problem, comparison and integration searches, and measure success by qualified trials or demos rather than raw traffic.

What content works best for SaaS?

Use-case pages, comparison and alternative pages, integration pages and practical guides tied to the problem your product solves.

What is the biggest e-commerce SEO issue?

Large catalogs often create duplicate or near-duplicate pages through filters and variants. Controlling what gets crawled and indexed is usually the first technical priority.

Do product pages or category pages matter more?

Category pages usually target higher-volume searches and deserve strong, unique content. Product pages matter for specific, high-intent searches.

What is local SEO?

Local SEO improves visibility for searches with local intent, such as "plumber near me" or a service plus a city, through your website, business profile and local signals.

Do I need a page for every city?

Not automatically. Pages should only exist where you genuinely serve an area and can say something useful about it. Thin, near-identical city pages tend to underperform.

Why do credentials and named authors matter?

For decisions that depend on trust, search engines and readers look for evidence of who is behind the content and why they are qualified to write it.

How long until a professional services site sees results?

It varies with competition and starting point. Expect several months of consistent work before meaningful movement, and we set expectations during scoping.
